Red Mania & Out Of Place Memories
I've discovered something rather interesting, something concerning, something that previously had not been recorded in detail. It's something I've decided to call RED MANIA - a temporary, yet, long-lasting condition that isn't actual corruption, but is caused by exposure to corruption. It seems to have different symptoms from entity to entity, but they can include any of the following...
- Repeatedly seeing nightmares that involve your worst fears/experiences.
- Attempts to destroy one's self in any way (not necessarily with death in mind).
- Feeling the smell of brimstone, which is followed by an intense "manic episode".
- Noticing changes in your appearance that nobody else notices (your hair might look like a different color to you, but not to anybody else; these oddities in appearance cannot be captured by a regular camera).
- Waking up with various injuries that you know you couldn't cause yourself.
- Sleep paralysis, without previous history of having it.
- Seeing shadows/tall entities for a split second, but never directly.
- Bleeding, or wanting to bleed.
- Frequent coughing.
- Having seemingly near-infinite energy for extended periods of time.
- Sudden critical iron deficiency.
- Intense metallic taste inside the mouth.
- The ability to turn a sky red.
- The ability to disrupt signals at will, without previously having such an ability.
- The ability to move faster (travel times may be half (or less) of what they would normally be).
- Remembering repressed memories, often from alternate timelines.
- Having frequent and intense out-of-body experiences.
- Intense paranoia.
I, myself, have experienced the vast majority of these symptoms ever since leaving my original Universe and timeline. I'd say that I've experienced a few symptoms even prior to the Red World incident, now that I think of it...
The intensity of these symptoms is nothing to ignore - certain symptoms, after all, can present a great danger for those around you. Unfortunately, I'm unable to safely look into whether or not a temporary form of the Red Mania can transition into a more permanent form of corruption, without being the test subject myself - quite frankly, I know exactly what would happen if I got corrupted permanently.
